Andrew has fished for trout all throughout Victoria and Southern New South Wales. He has an excellent knowledge of all things flyfishing and is keen to pass that knowledge on to anyone that visits the store. Andrew is as passionate as they come with his flyfishing and whether you are a beginner or expert, Andrew has the knowledge and expertise to get your gear in top shape for the next trip. In his spare time, you will find him either fishing, tying flies, or on the net researching the latest in new products and techniques. Andrew is a member of the Victorian Flyfisher's Association and is passionate about the conservation of trout in Australia. Every year Andrew does at least one big trip to a dream destination. The Seychelles was his last trip where he caught everything from bonefish to giant trevally. However his addiction to flyfishing in New Zealand has seen him go there more than anywhere else in recent years.
LIAM MORGAN-PAYLER
For a 25 year old, Liam has done a hell of a lot of flyfishing. Liam has found the time after finishing university to spend months in the Tasmanian highlands polaroiding large brown trout in the western lakes and catching his fair share of trout from waters such as Little Pine lagoon, Arthurs Lake, Lake Burbury and the Great Lake. He also enjoys the inshore saltwater flyfishing that Tasmania has to offer and has recently returned from an 8 month working holiday at well known angling paradise, Lord Howe Island. Liam is a magnificent caster and an excellent angler. His experiance and passion for the sport of flyfishing will get you out on the water with the confidence you need to catch fish.
JIM ALLEN
While not on the shop floor from day to day it is easy to feel the presence of founder/owner Jim Allen when you tread the boards of the Compleat Flyfisher. Ever the mentor to the younger team Jim's years of experience as a world traveller, flyfishing pioneer as well as his work in fisheries management and conservation are evident from the layout of the shop to the brands that are stocked. From icons like Hardy and Sage to the newcomers like Hatch reels it's easy to see Jim's influence. And while he may not be in the shop he is always close by for the staff to draw on that wealth of knowledge and experience. It would be fair to say there'd be few amongst us that could claim to spend more days fishing any given season.
